Happy 4th of July, America! It's a day of barbecue, choruses of the national anthem, outfits specifically with our flag's color scheme, and incredibly loud and excessive fireworks. My Fourth of July celebrations usually involve car travel, but that just means more movie-viewing time. This year, Oh My Disney released the only media form of celebration I need for this mid-summer holiday: a message from the Muppets' own uber-patriot, Sam Eagle.
Get ready for the Fourth of July with a special message from the one and only Sam Eagle of @TheMuppets:https://t.co/cVyq8NveGm— Oh My Disney (@OhMyDisney) July 3, 2016
Sam Eagle is the ultimate mascot for the Fourth of July and (dare I say?) better entertainment than some fireworks shows. However, there are a lot of events worth looking into, if your Fourth of July feels lacking. The Shoreline Ampitheater in the Bay Area, for example, presents a concert by the San Francisco Symphony, featuring scores from John Williams and The Sound of Music. There are parades in most cities across the states, and concerts in many locations, too. Or, if you prefer a more laidback Fourth of July - hot dogs, nachos, cold drinks, and a nice comfy seat - check out The BFG or Finding Dory in theaters. For a special treat, if Monday is just not a great holiday day for you, watch the Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel's livestream of Disneyland to catch their Fourth of July fireworks from the comfort of your own couch.
