The new Angry Birds Movie trailer shows some insight into the characters, like Red's background and temper issues. The audience also gets a sense of plot more than in the previous trailer - with pigs invading and Red's involvement in stopping them. For the most part, it's a funny trailer, entertaining and definitely well-animated in many ways.
Like many, I had some hopes for this film - not high hopes, but hopes. I don't think this will be the huge background-defining story for the mobile game, as I expected, but rather an entertaining complement. Continuing an all-too-popular trend, the film also seems to follow in the footsteps of Minions and Norm of the North with potty humor and crude comedy; although the timing plays off well, I'm worried the comedy might over-saturate the film.
