Many Star Wars fans and Disneyland fans have mixed feelings about the imminent construction of 'Star Wars Land,' and the attractions to be left behind for the new park section. Several attractions will be closing permanently, while even more will close temporarily through the construction process. The lasting operating day for all attractions listed is January 10th, and the attractions to be temporarily closed will not operate for a least a year.
Permanently closing attractions include:
- Big Thunder Ranch
- Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue
- Big Thunder Jamboree
The attractions temporarily closing include:
- Tom Sawyer Island
- Mark Twain Riverboat & Sailing Ship Columbia
- Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes
- Fantasmic
- Disneyland Railroad
Again, the last operating day for these rides is January 10th, this Sunday. Additionally, other rides will be closing much more temporarily for routine refurbishment or removing holiday decorations: Autopia, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion. On January 25th, It's a Small World will also close for a short time to revert to its non-holiday set.
