On this day, 93 years ago, the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio was founded. The name would change over the next nine decades but the foundational magic and talent would remain the same, and even expanded to all corners of the globe. Founded by brothers Walt and Roy O. Disney, the studio conquered the animation industry before diversifying into live-action films, television, and, of course, theme parks. The resulting near-century of classic films and magic has inspired so many of us, whether we've simply enjoyed their movies, pursued careers in the industry because of them, or even ended up working for the Mouse.
While the anniversary itself will always be magical and exciting, this day became even more special when I stepped Onstage in one of the three largest Disney Stores in North America. I got to learn about being a representative and distributor of the Disney magic that has been such a huge part of my life. Starting work on today, of all days, just reaffirms how important this company has been in my life and how much it inspires me every day.
