Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them released a title treatment on Pottermore this week followed by a first look at Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.

Eddie Redmayne (
The Theory of Everything) is world-famous magizoologist Newt Scamander in 1926 New York. Below, Entertainment Weekly gives us an inside look at Scamander, with briefcase, in the gorgeous Magical Congress of the United States of America (or MACUSA) inside the Woolworth Building in Manhattan. Also in the cast are Katherine Waterston (
Steve Jobs), Colin Farrell (
True Detective) and Samantha Morton (
Minority Report). The magazine seems to be the only stop for
Fantastic Beasts news, outside of Pottermore, and will be releasing more news online as the magazine releases. This edition features a "scoop from the set," and the magazine has said they'll be tweeting more news as it comes. Don't have Twitter? Head to
Entertainment Weekly's and
Fantastic Beasts' Facebook. Don't have Facebook, either? Follow along with me as I post regular updates!
